Wavelength
Convert frequency to wavelength, half wave and quarter wave.

Formula & context
Wavelength is one complete spatial cycle. The factor applies only to the derived conductor lengths, not the free-space wavelength.
A worked example
At 299.792458 MHz, λ is exactly 1 m. With k = 0.95, the derived half and quarter waves are 0.475 m and 0.2375 m.
Assumptions & limits
Theoretical starting dimensions. Height, wire diameter, insulation and surroundings alter a real antenna’s resonance.
