TROUBLESHOOTING WORKSHOP

DMR stays silent?

Check channel, RF link and network separately — through a repeater or your own Pi-Star hotspot.

For DMR with AnyTone and Pi-Star. Obtain repeater parameters from its operator. Make short transmit tests only when authorised, on a permitted, clear frequency.

YOUR NEXT USEFUL TEST

Record the verified connection

You observed intelligible speech in both directions. This applies to the channel and access path you tested.

  1. Back up the working channel and hotspot configuration locally. Note frequency, colour code, slot and talkgroup for yourself; keep passwords separately and private.
  2. Make later changes individually and check against the same reference. A different slot, repeater or network needs a fresh comparison.

What to look for next

This workshop does not create a log entry. You can record an actual contact in your own logbook.
