TROUBLESHOOTING WORKSHOP
DMR stays silent?
Check channel, RF link and network separately — through a repeater or your own Pi-Star hotspot.
For DMR with AnyTone and Pi-Star. Obtain repeater parameters from its operator. Make short transmit tests only when authorised, on a permitted, clear frequency.
Arrange matching traffic as a reference
A silent DMR channel may be configured correctly. Without matching traffic you cannot assess audio decoding.
- Arrange talkgroup, time slot and timing with an authorised station. Follow repeater and network operating rules.
- Check static and dynamic talkgroup routing with the operator. Do not assume an arbitrary talkgroup is permanently active just because it has a number.
What to look for next
Once matching traffic is confirmed, recheck the receive selection.
