TROUBLESHOOTING WORKSHOP
No reception?
From a silent speaker to an overloaded SDR: work through the receiving chain.
For analogue voice and SDR reception. Use a known station that is actually active. An empty channel alone does not prove a fault.
What do you observe on the active signal?
Use the S-meter, spectrum and audio together where available. This observation narrows the search; it does not measure the cause.
Little or no signalStrong but distorted or full of spurious signalsBroad noise or regularly spaced interference
