Bandwidth

Bandwidth is the width of a frequency range. A receiver filter limits the analysed range; the signal’s occupied bandwidth is a separate quantity.

Also found under: Bandbreite · Bandwidth · Filterbreite

A concrete example

A narrower filter can reject adjacent signals but may also remove part of the wanted modulation.

What to keep in mind

Filter bandwidth and tuning step size are different settings.
