TROUBLESHOOTING WORKSHOP
DMR stays silent?
Check channel, RF link and network separately — through a repeater or your own Pi-Star hotspot.
For DMR with AnyTone and Pi-Star. Obtain repeater parameters from its operator. Make short transmit tests only when authorised, on a permitted, clear frequency.
Distinguish RF from network traffic
First establish a reliable observation. Someone else’s callsign in the dashboard may have arrived from the network.
- Open the local Pi-Star page and find the RF input view. Compare time and your own DMR ID with a permitted short test.
- Only then decide whether input is missing or whether the next problem is beyond the hotspot. A displayed ID does not prove intelligible speech.
What to look for next
Go back with that clear observation and choose the matching branch.
