The AT-D890UV combines analog FM and DMR digital voice in a dual-band handheld. Its 4000 channel memories are organised in a computer codeplug; talkgroups, contacts and digital receive lists determine which DMR calls are heard on a channel. Digital Monitor permits less restrictive monitoring of digital channel activity.
The manual describes roaming between configured repeaters, voice recording, text messages, GPS positioning and APRS. Satellite prediction and analog DTMF, two-tone and five-tone signalling are also included. The manufacturer page additionally lists AM airband reception and cross-band operation. Bluetooth, GPS and additional functions must be matched to the specific hardware version and firmware.
