The IC-F29SDR combines digital dPMR446 with analog PMR446. A group can use digital radios while retaining communication with analog PMR handhelds when channel and signalling settings match. The LCD allows channel, Common ID and other settings to be selected directly on the radio.
For outdoor use, Icom combines a dust-tight, water-resistant enclosure with powerful audio. AquaQuake helps clear water from the speaker grille. Status messages can be prepared on a PC, while Alert Ring and lone-worker functions complement group communication. VOX requires a suitable optional headset.
