The IC-T10 is an analog VHF/UHF handheld for FM operation. Controls focus on frequency selection, memories and a Home button for returning to a preferred channel. Its internal speaker delivers a typical 1.5 W of audio to aid intelligibility in noisy surroundings.

The enclosure has IP67 dust and water protection. CTCSS and DTCS support tone signalling and squelch settings, while several scanning modes help monitor stored channels. A separate broadcast receiver provides FM radio listening. PC programming uses Icom CS-T10 software and the appropriate interface.
