Check the repeater or hotspot path
Local reception and network login are separate checks.
A simplex hotspot uses one shared local radio channel between radio and modem. A duplex repeater uses separate input and output frequencies. Do not copy a repeater offset into a simplex hotspot channel without checking.
First check whether the modem receives your signal. Then check network login and destination. In D-STAR, FROM and TO represent access and destination; the guide explains the related callsign fields. Credentials stay in the private dashboard.
Your turn.
Open the guide for your system and identify the first local check. Then point out where the network becomes involved.
